During the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 art games on the Android platform in Africa showed varied trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

ColorPlanet® Paint by Number saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, with the highest peak at 150K in late July. However, downloads declined steadily towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 21K by the last week of September. The game also experienced a similar trend in weekly active users, peaking at around 719K in early August before dropping to 327K by the end of September.

Sculpt People had its weekly downloads peak at about 94K in early August, followed by a decline to around 39K by the end of September. The app’s active user base also saw a decrease, starting from 155K in late June and ending at roughly 102K.

Paint by Number: Coloring Game experienced a steady decline in weekly downloads from 131K in late June to around 26K by the end of September. The active user count decreased from 421K to 296K over the same period. The app’s revenue spiked at $198 in late July but remained relatively low for the rest of the quarter.

Tie Dye had a relatively stable download rate, with the highest weekly downloads at 66K in early July, gradually decreasing to 31K by the end of September. The active users metric showed a similar downward trend, starting at 235K and ending at 160K.

Phone Case DIY saw its weekly downloads peak at nearly 78K in mid-July before dropping to approximately 25K by the end of September. The active user count started at 213K in late June and decreased to around 165K by the end of the quarter.
